About

Designing board-level governance for long-term value creation.

I work at the intersection of finance, governance and the circular economy, helping boards and executive teams embed long-term value creation into strategic decision-making.

I am affiliated with Nyenrode Business University, where I combine academic research with executive education. My work bridges theory and practice, translating developments in circular economy, ESG, and governance into frameworks that are directly relevant for boardrooms and executive teams.

My perspective is shaped by both executive and academic experience. I have served at executive level as CFO and CPO in socially oriented organizations, where financial discipline, public accountability and stakeholder complexity come together. This background enables me to engage with boards not only conceptually, but from practical experience with capital allocation, risk oversight, performance steering and governance design.

Alongside my executive career, I built an academic profile focused on circular economy, governance, digitalization and value chain collaboration. My research examines how sustainable strategies can be translated into financial logic — addressing questions of risk, return, transparency and control. I develop frameworks and tools that make sustainable value creation measurable and decision-relevant within existing financial structures.

What distinguishes my work is the combination of strategic governance insight and operational financial expertise. I understand how boards think, how financial systems operate, and where sustainability ambitions encounter structural barriers. My role is to bring clarity and coherence to that interface.

In advisory engagements, I support executive teams and supervisory boards in strengthening governance structures, embedding sustainability into performance management, and aligning stakeholders across value chains. From boardroom strategy to implementation logic, I work to ensure that long-term value creation is not an abstract ambition, but an integrated part of financial and organizational decision-making.

My focus is pragmatic: disciplined finance, strong governance, and sustainable performance — aligned at board level.
